Excellent burgers, friendly service, and amazing eclectic place. If you're traveling through here, stop for coffee, breakfast, or lunch. You'll be glad you did. Only suggestion is to get an additional sign that can be seen from the roadway announcing that you serve breakfast and lunch. Like a sign that says "burgers" We,ve been through here many times and did not know this. We will be back shortly for sure!
We hadn't checked out the VG Trade since it came under new management nearly a year ago, and wow- we were missing out! The breakfast bowl was SO delicious, service was top-notch, and the store is full of cool one-of-a-kind items. I have lots of gift ideas for future birthdays. This will be a regular brunch location for us from now on!
I love this unique restaurant in Villa Grove. Cheeseburger was cooked perfectly. Hubby had a very tasty Tuna melt. Highly recommend this restaurant and there yummy coffee bar and dessert!!
Under new ownership and it's wonderful. My wife and I had a very tasty lunch and then breakfast the following day. The food is freshly cooked with generous portions. You can eat here or take it to go! Great coffee! The place is very clean and well kept. Peyton kindly welcomed us for our overnight stay with our small camper via Harvest Hosts. The gift shop/trade area has essentials and cute locally made crafts/jewelry. Highly recommended and we'd stay here again for sure! Updated 1 week later: We stopped here again on our way back through Villa Grove and had another tasty lunch and took freshly baked pie slices to go! Peyton, Kathy and Cody welcomed us back with big smiles! Such great food and wonderful people! The place was busy so the word is out that they're doing a great job!
Food was great. Had vegan options available. Got a double bean burger with mushrooms and avocado. Coffee was excellent: tried an almond milk latte. Everyone was very friendly :)
Great food and service! Driving from Denver to Durango and stopped for lunch with family. Smallest Burger was so big I couldn't have a slice of their great looking pies. Next time!
They have delicious looking treats and pies but I can't rate them because I didn't buy any. I would have were I not trying to restrict calories! The staff were super friendly. The store was really cute. This is a fun place to just hang out. You can bring your own games to play because the environment truly says relax and stay a while! They have lots of locally made special gift items. I will make it a habit to stop here every time I'm driving through. Awesome coffee!
I LOVE this place! This historic 1880's building has a lot of character! Not only that, the down home country-style food is awesome, the homemade pies are delicious, the staff is super friendly, and the gift shop has all kinds of unique items like wool/alpaca rugs, insoles, paintings, coloring books, jewelry, knives...
